Coffee Tasting Session with Guangzhou Delegates

The Department of Trade and Industry–Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB), in partnership with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Guangzhou and the Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou, successfully hosted a Coffee Tasting Session on 24 March 2026, featuring specialty coffee from the Philippines.

The activity introduced ten (10) art practitioners, restaurant, and café owners from Guangzhou, China to the diverse flavor profiles, origins, and quality attributes of Philippine coffee. It also facilitated meaningful cultural exchanges between the visiting delegates and selected Philippine coffee exporters, namely: Bote Central, Inc., Coffee for Peace, JPC Golden Alliance Trading, Inc., Project Beans Trading, and VerraCoffee, Inc.

Beyond sensory appreciation, the activity opened pathways for Philippine specialty coffee in the China market through potential collaborations and partnerships.
