Happening Now at the Iloilo Convention Center!
DTI Region VI Regional Director Rachel Nufable has just delivered her opening message at the Western Visayas Creativity Forum cm Competitive LGU Awards! In her message, RD Nufable acknowledged the commitment of all 133 participating LGUs and highlighted the importance of regional collaboration to enhance local competitiveness and drive sustainable development in Western Visayas.
The morning began with the Western Visayas Creativity Forum, featuring insightful discussions on the Philippine Creative Industry Development Act (PCIDA), a showcase of the 2023 Lunsod Lunsad project beneficiaries, and Iloilo City’s inspiring journey to becoming a UNESCO City of Gastronomy. This forum underscores the power of creativity as a driver for community development and economic growth across our region.
In the afternoon, we’ll culminate this year's 2024 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) Awards, honoring the outstanding local government units that have set the standard in government efficiency, economic dynamism, infrastructure, resiliency, and innovation.
Today’s event also marks the kick-off of Fiesta Haraya, a month-long celebration of Ilonggo creativity, to be concluded with the grand Regional Fashion Week!
