In the island province of Mogpog, Marinduque, surrounded by fertile farmland and rich coastal waters, one everyday food remains surprisingly scarce: fresh eggs.

While poultry farming has slowly emerged in Marinduque, many aspiring layer farmers have struggled to keep their businesses alive. That reality caught the attention of Engr. Don Mark Dela Cruz, 27, when a farmer offered to sell him an entire set of ready-to-lay (RTL) chickens after abandoning the business.

Mayor Senen Livelo Jr. of Mogpog to present the Certificate of Recognition as one of the Top 3 Winners in the Pitching Competition during the Filipino Young Farmers Immersion on Agribusiness and Technology Incubation Program (FYFIATIP) held at Republic Polytechnic, Singapore.

Lumahok ang dalawang Young Agripreneurs mula sa MIMAROPA sa isang international agribusiness and technology incubation immersion sa Singapore mula Hulyo 6 hanggang 10, 2026 sa pangunguna ng Department of Agriculture (DA) MIMAROPA sa pamamagitan ng Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) Program.

Kinatawan ng rehiyon sina Jeriza Page ng Nutripage Food Products Trading mula sa Oriental Mindoro at Don Mark Dela Cruz ng Egginear Agri Poultry Solutions mula sa Marinduque.

Layunin ng limang araw na immersion program na mabigyan ang mga kalahok ng mas malalim na kaalaman sa mga makabagong sistema ng agribusiness, enterprise incubation, business innovation, pagpapalawak ng mga negosyo, at paggamit ng makabagong teknolohiya sa agrikultura. Nakipag-ugnayan din ang mga delegado sa mga incubation managers, startup mentors, at iba pang eksperto sa industriya upang masuri kung paano higit pang mapauunlad ang kanilang mga negosyo ayon sa pandaigdigang pamantayan.

Proud Moment for Marinduque!

Congratulations to Don Mark De la Cruz of Egginear Agri-Poultry Solutions (Region IV-B – Marinduque) for earning the Second Runner-Up award during the Final Business Pitch and Demo Day of the Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) Agribusiness and Technology Incubation Program in Singapore.

The program concluded with participants presenting their agribusiness ventures before a distinguished panel of venture capitalists, agritech ecosystem partners, and Republic Polytechnic incubation managers. Business pitches were evaluated based on innovation, business viability, market potential, presentation delivery, and investment readiness.
This remarkable achievement reflects the ingenuity, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit of Filipino young farmers on the global stage.

Your success is an inspiration to aspiring agripreneurs and a proud milestone for Marinduque and the Philippines.

🌱Closing Program | Organic Agriculture Production NC II

The Closing Program for the Organic Agriculture Production NC II Training was held on July 8, 2026, celebrating the achievements of the 21 trainees who completed the 32-day training conducted from May 13 to June 26, 2026, under the Coconut Farmers Scholarship Program (CFSP).

Guided by their trainer, Mrs. Violeta De la Cruz, the trainees completed the program with dedication and determination, equipping themselves with valuable knowledge and practical skills in organic agriculture.

The training was implemented by DMDC Farm through the partnership of TESDA and Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) under the Coconut Farmers Scholarship Program.

The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr. Domingo M. Dela Cruz, DMDC Administrator; Mr. Erwin Buñag, Acting Provincial Director of TESDA Marinduque; and representatives from the PCA Marinduque ,led by Division Chief I Judy D.P. Pingco, represented by Ms. Meriel Largado and Mr. Anthony Lumagui.

Congratulations to our 21 graduates on this remarkable achievement. May the knowledge and skills you have gained inspire you to champion sustainable agriculture and create lasting opportunities for yourselves, your families, and your communities.
