Kape't PanghiMUGas Kape’t PanghiMUGas is a business established to cater to the cravings of Gen Zs and Millenials for coffee and sweets.

The goal of the business is to provide the customers a complete experience of dining inside a cafe while still keeping them safe from the threats of the pandemic. However, the usual coffee and pastry combination was modified to incorporate one of the Philippines’ native kakanin dishes; as implied by the business’s name, Kape’t PanghiMUGas offers a drip coffee bag (kape) that the customers could br

ew and enjoy in their personal mugs partnered with a slice of the native dessert (panghimagas), Biko. The business also supports the slogan, “tangkilikin ang sariling atin,” for the products that they are going to use are produced and manufactured locally: Kapeng Barako from Batangas, banana leaves from the local markets, and the ingredients for the Biko. Furthermore, the business also contributes to the environment by lessening their plastic consumption: the Biko will be wrapped around a banana leaf and will be put inside a paper bag together with the drip coffee, which shall be delivered to the customer’s house as a set.
