Mainly raised in the Philippines for its meat, Muscovy ducks are a versatile species that can provide an additional food source and livelihood for Filipinos, especially amid inclement weather.
The DOST-PCAARRD and Ifugao State University (IFSU) collaborative R&D project aims to establish a sustainable, true-to-type breeding population of Muscovy ducks with predictable growth performance and consistent product quality.
