The Philippine delegation for the 2026 Taipei International Food Show (TIFS) had a highly productive day engaging with Taiwanese buyers ahead of the show.

The exporters met with the Goods Department Manager of EEC, which has over 100 stores in Taiwan. The Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), led by MECO Chair and Resident Representative Corazon Avecilla-Padiernos, also hosted a networking activity wherein the exporters were able to pitch their products and connect with Taiwanese importers, including My Friend Group, AsiaMind Genesis Ltd., Chua Co., ABBA William Co., Wai Feng Co., ChengMiFeng Int’l Co., EEC, FIRDI (Food Industry Research and Development Institute), and Macroscopic Inc.

The activity also served as a platform for the Philippine delegation to learn more on Taiwan's food market trends and on Taiwan FDA's regulations and labelling requirements through the presentations of Dr. Barry Yang of Food Industry ​Research and Development Institute and Ms. Wendy Lan of My Friend Group, respectively.

The Philippine participation in TIFS 2026 was organized by DTI-Export Marketing Bureau and Philippine Trade and Investment Center - Taipei, in partnership with MECO and the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc.
