So incredibly proud to see our fellow local brands from Northern Mindanao shine at the International Food Exhibition (IFEX) Philippines 2026! ✨🌴

Even though Jabar’s wasn’t part of this year’s exhibit, my heart is full seeing our homegrown products showcased at the World Trade Center Manila. This just proves how world-class, hardworking, and talented we are here in Mindanao! 🫡💚

Big congratulations to DTI Region 10 and to all the brand owners, team, and staff behind this success. This inspires me even more — as a fellow local entrepreneur and owner of Jabar’s, I look forward to the day we also get to represent and share our products on this big stage too! 🤝🇵🇭

To be honest, Cagayan de Oro doesn’t really have any original products that we can truly claim as uniquely ours — not even the famous Pastel. Even though it became very popular and is widely associated with our city, it actually originated from Camiguin; we just helped make it well-known here. The only thing we can really take pride in and say is distinct to us is our way of preparing Kinilaw and Sinuglaw, especially how we use tabon-tabon fruit to give it that special, authentic taste.

Also, people always call CDO the 'City of Friendly People' — but honestly? That reputation isn’t really true at all 😂😂😂.

I remember whenever we attend DTI seminars, visitors always ask: 'What are the original products of CDO?' And to be honest, it’s hard to answer because we don’t really have something we can fully say is ours alone. That’s why, as the owner of JABAR'S Food Products, I really wish and hope that someday we can finally have our very own signature product here. I tried creating items like garlic paste, hoping I could claim it as something truly from CDO… but I guess right now,Malabo 🤣
