Week 1 and Already in Action! 💯🌱
On their very first week of OJT, our ANSCI students are not just observing — they are fully immersed in real farm life at ARCA Goat Farm.
From preparing formulated feeds for our Saanen goats, assisting in operating heavy equipment (yes, even handling the chainsaw under proper supervision), mixing rations for the free-range chickens, performing hoof trimming, and learning essential herd health management. They are gaining practical skills that go beyond the classroom.
Every task completed builds confidence, competence, and character. This is experiential learning at its finest, where knowledge meets application, and passion meets purpose.
Farm life is not easy, but these interns are rising to the challenge, learning and growing together as they take meaningful steps toward becoming future leaders in the livestock industry.
