IF YOU ARE A WORKER IN THE HEALTHCARE SECTOR:
1. Be kind; they don’t have the means to pay for a private clinic or doctor.
2. Explain what is happening assertively. Give instructions using simple and easy-to-understand words.
3. Listen to them; they don’t know medical terms, and sometimes it’s hard for them to explain their discomfort or pain.
4. Show empathy; make them feel that you are there to help and that they can trust you.
(If you don’t have a vocation for service, don’t enter the healthcare sector.)
They’re already dealing with enough just by being there. 🙏
