GROWING IN FAITH, SERVING THROUGH CREATION | July 19, 2026

With grateful hearts and willing hands, the YIFI CDO Ecological Justice Project Committee, together with YIFI Bulua, YIFI Pagatpat and YIFI Bonbon, once again came together to continue caring for our ecological garden.

As we prepare the soil, tend the crops, and nurture new life, we are reminded that every act of caring for creation is an act of faithful stewardship. Through these simple yet meaningful efforts, we answer God's call to serve—not only one another but also the environment entrusted to us.
Our sincere appreciation goes to every volunteer who shared their time, energy, and dedication.

Your commitment reflects the heart of YIFI: united in faith, rooted in service, and inspired to make a difference.
May we continue to grow as stewards of God's creation, bearing witness that even the smallest acts of care can blossom into lasting hope for our communities and for generations to come.

BE THE HANDS THAT CARE | July 5, 2026

The work continues, and so does our commitment to care for God's creation.

The YIFI CDO Ecological Justice Project Committee, together with YIFI Tablon, YIFI Cugman, and YIFI Mambatangan, gathered in the spirit of faith and service to continue the work of nurturing our ecological garden.

Every seed planted, every plant cared for, and every moment shared reminds us that protecting the environment is more than a responsibility—it is a ministry that reflects our gratitude for God's gift of creation.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who generously offered their time and effort. Your willingness to serve is a testament that when young people unite with a common purpose, meaningful change begins to grow.

Let us continue to cultivate not only the land but also hearts that are committed to serving God, caring for creation, and inspiring others to do the same.

BE PART OF THE CHANGE | July 4,2026

The YIFI CDO Ecological Justice Project Committee, together with YIFI Patpat and Wahigan, continues to cultivate the land by preparing planting plots, caring for our growing crops and making fermented juice.

Through every seed planted and every task accomplished, we are reminded that even the smallest acts of service can create a lasting impact.

This is more than an environmental project—it is a ministry of faith, service, and stewardship. As young people, we are called not only to care for one another but also to protect and nurture God's creation for future generations.

To all YIFI MEMBERS, this is your invitation! Come and be part of the Ecological Justice Project. Share your time, your strength, and your passion as we work together to build a greener, healthier, and more sustainable community.

"The best time to plant a tree was years ago. The next best time is today."

Together, let us grow in faith, serve with purpose, and care for God's creation.

ECOLOGICAL ACTION | May 24, 2026

Today, the YIFI CDO Ecological Justice Project Committee together with YIFI Iponan and Bonbon continued preparing planting plots and nurturing our existing crops as we welcome the rainy season. 🌿

As the rains begin to nourish the earth, we are reminded that ecological justice starts with collective care — care for the soil, for our food systems, and for the communities that depend on a healthy environment. Every cultivated plot and every growing seed reflects our shared commitment to sustainability, resilience, and environmental stewardship.

Together, we plant not only crops, but hope for a greener and more just future. 🌏💚

✨ Are you ready for the challenge to be part of this project? Join us in cultivating change, protecting nature, and building a more sustainable tomorrow.

Farming Day Update: Bahay Kubo Garden in Action !

Today’s Farming Day of the Ecological Justice Project of the Diocese of Cagayan de Oro, in partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany, focused on planting Bahay Kubo vegetables and adding more eggplant 🍆 to our growing ecological garden.

While we discovered that the soil is acidic, the team continues to respond in an organic and sustainable way—using compost soil, natural soil enrichment, and careful stewardship of the land. This reminds us that caring for the earth requires patience, cooperation, and respect for nature.

Our heartfelt thanks to our committed youth volunteers: Mr. Advent Labita (Project Chairperson), Ms. Chinny Pelayre, Ms. Ma. Glaiza Jumamil, Mr. Bench Hubert Saguagan, and Mr. Key Lord Corre for their dedication to ecological justice.

We also extend our gratitude to IFI San Simon Mission for generously providing seedlings and compost soil, and to Mr. Jeffrey Cadaro for kindly providing the vehicle that helped transport the team and materials for today’s activity.

Together, we plant seeds of hope, nurture the soil, and care for our common home—one garden at a time. 🌏💚
