WHEN THE WEATHER CHANGES THE PLAN, WE GROW ANYWAY!
Rainy weather may have moved our farming activity indoors, but it certainly didn’t stop us from learning, planting, and having fun! 💚
Today, our Taiwanese students under the Cultural Immersion Program were supposed to experience hands-on farming at the LPU Community Farm. However, due to the unfavorable weather conditions, we brought the farming experience indoors instead! 🌧️
Each student was given a small pot and a flowering plant seed to plant and care for. With the warm guidance and assistance of our Kababaihan ni Maria Makiling, they enjoyed learning the basics of planting while experiencing the joy of nurturing a plant from seed to growth. 🌸🪴
🎯 Objective of the Activity:
To provide the students with a meaningful hands-on experience in planting, environmental awareness, and sustainable agriculture, while fostering cultural exchange, appreciation for local farming practices, and connection with the community, even when activities need to be adapted to changing weather conditions.
More than just planting a seed, today’s activity planted knowledge, friendship, cultural understanding, and a deeper appreciation for the people who nurture our community and our environment.
A big thank you to our Kababaihan ni Maria Makiling for sharing their knowledge, time, and passion for farming with our visiting students. 🇵🇭🤝🇹🇼
From the farm to indoors, the learning continues! 🌱✨
