For a bit of background, "BallsPsy" is a fundraising program conducted by 1-Psy6, a group of students attending City College of Calamba. Along with their supervisor, Professor Ivan Opeรฑa, they were tasked with an on-hand experience in facilitating children for their National Service Training Program (NSTP) as per their Civic Welfare and Training Service (CWTS). With the catchphrase โCatch-Up Fridayโ, their mission is to bring fun in learning one school at a time. Creating a space to spread love, happiness and support to those surrounding the whole project.
Why graham balls in particular you ask? Well graham balls are very popular with any generation, a sweet and chewy snack to enjoy in any season and time of day! Plus, itโs fairly easy to make and affordable for its price that ANYBODY can purchase. Upon selling snacks that are enjoyed by all ages, weโll be able to create a fun space for the students to enjoy and learn at the same time. Investing the money on materials such as notebooks, papers, ink, markers, tape and many MANY more school necessities thatโll surely bring each student closer to one another with the activities prepared for each section. Furthermore, funds could also be given for financial support and/or food assistance to aid children to continue learning and participating in their school.
By continuing to support BallPsy will greatly impact not just us but also the students of Calamba Bayside Integrated School (CBIS). All funds generated from selling graham balls will serve as our steppingstone in fulfilling our duty as a citizen and making what we envision come true and our mission fulfilled in the near future.
