Job Summary:
The Baker / Oven Man is responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of baked goods such as breads, pastries, etc. This role ensures proper baking procedures, correct oven settings, and consistent quality of products in line with food safety and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Operate ovens and other baking equipment safely and efficiently.
✅ Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked properly.
✅ Prepare doughs, batters, and baking ingredients according to recipes or standard procedures.
✅ Load and unload trays, pans, and racks into ovens with proper timing.
✅ Inspect and check the quality, texture, and appearance of baked items.
✅ Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment at all times.
✅ Follow baking schedules and ensure timely output to meet production targets.
✅ Assist in inventory of baking ingredients and report low stock levels.
✅ Coordinate with the Head Baker and production team for product consistency.
✅ Comply with food safety, hygiene, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Qualifications:
🎓 High school graduate or vocational course in Baking or related field.
👨🍳 At least 1–2 years of experience in a bakery or food production setting.
🧁 Skilled in using ovens, mixers, dough rollers, and baking tools.
💪 Physically fit and able to work in a hot environment for extended hours.
🕓 Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions:
⚙️ Work is done in a fast-paced production and commissary area.
🦺 Requires standing for long periods, lifting baking trays, and manual labor.
🧤 PPE such as apron, gloves, and hairnet must be worn at all times.
