A trip down memory lane. ❤️🍪
While browsing through old posts, I stumbled upon this one from the height of the pandemic. Looking back, it feels surreal. The world had slowed down, uncertainty was everywhere, and no one really knew what tomorrow would bring. Whether you were a large company or a small neighborhood business, we were all simply trying to hold on and make it through.
What I remember most wasn’t the fear—it was the kindness. Businesses supporting businesses. People tagging, sharing, recommending, and choosing local whenever they could. In the midst of isolation, Cebuanos showed what community truly meant. We lifted each other up when many of us were struggling to stay afloat.
This post is a beautiful reminder that even during one of the most difficult chapters of our lives, we found ways to come together. The pandemic taught us many lessons, but perhaps the most important one was that we are stronger when we support one another.
Today, as we once again face economic challenges and political uncertainties, I hope we don’t forget those lessons. I hope we choose empathy over division, kindness over hostility, and community over indifference. And I hope we continue to support local businesses—not just because they sell great products, but because behind every small business is a family, a dream, and a story worth keeping alive.
Here’s to looking out for one another, just as we did then. ❤️🇵🇭
