Our initial mission in Bogo City was to extend medical assistance at the provincial hospital, but upon arrival, we were relieved to see the needs already being cared for by dedicated student nurse volunteers from different Cebu universities.
Since we were already in the area, and fortunately had a place to stay for the night, we shifted our efforts to reaching families in hard-to-access areas. Thanks to the generous cash donations from SmileCo Dental Clinic, Doc Cielo, Doc Bry, and Doc Benz, we were able to distribute relief goods to communities that larger volunteer groups couldn’t reach due to steep and risky roads.
We’re grateful to have provided basic necessities that even nearby municipalities could no longer supply because of scarce resources. Still, we continue to hope more groups can visit them, especially as safe drinking water remains a major need.
