Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu!
Greetings of peace and environmental stewardship.
As part of the continuing preparations for the Celebration of World Mangrove Day 2026, Kutawato Greenland Initiatives, Inc. (KGI), together with its partner organizations and government agencies, respectfully invites your office to participate in the 1st Stakeholders' Meeting on June 10, 2026 (Wednesday), from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at the City Agriculturist Office, Cotabato City (in front of Children's Park).
The meeting aims to bring together government agencies, local government units, civil society organizations, environmental advocates, academic institutions, youth groups, and private sector partners to discuss and coordinate activities leading to the observance of World Mangrove Day on July 26, 2026.
Specifically, the meeting seeks to:
• Present the proposed activities for the Celebration of World Mangrove Day 2026;
• Discuss the implementation of the "Takbo Para sa Kalikasan" environmental fun run across participating areas in BARMM;
• Coordinate the conduct of the Simultaneous Mangrove Planting Activity throughout the region;
• Establish working committees and define the roles and responsibilities of participating stakeholders;
• Explore partnership and sponsorship opportunities to support the event; and
• Discuss the long-term vision of promoting mangrove conservation and the regional target of expanding mangrove restoration efforts across BARMM.
The celebration is envisioned as a region-wide initiative that will engage communities, government institutions, environmental organizations, schools, youth groups, and the private sector in protecting and restoring mangrove ecosystems as a vital contribution to climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable coastal livelihoods.
In this regard, we respectfully request the attendance of you or your authorized representative. Your participation and valuable insights will contribute significantly to the successful planning and implementation of this important environmental undertaking.
For confirmation and further coordination, you may contact Brayan Saguban at 0967-230-3956. We look forward to your continued support and partnership in advancing mangrove conservation efforts in the Bangsamoro region.
Thank you, and Wassalam!
Respectfully yours,
DANILO T. MOCSIN
Executive Director
