WHAT EXACTLY IS INUTAK?
Probably only a few are familiar with it here🙂
The Philippines has 82 provinces and most of them have a native dish or kakanin (better known as delicacy). Imagine that? Not surprising that Inutak is uncommon. I honestly am not familiar with most of these delicacies but one thing I am sure of is that the Filipinos love to eat!
So allow us to share with you a Trivia🥰
Inutak hailed from Pateros as we searched with its traditional recipe handed down from generation to generation.
It is made of glutinous rice with coconut cream.
Once cooked it has a gooey consistency and a charred "brain-like" look hence the name🤔
Odd as it may be for a food but once you have tasted it, you will get hooked because it really is delicious!
Moreso with our very own modified version of it!
We use our home made REAL UBE JAM as base, with our special glutinous mixture and cream topping to complete the layers of this delicacy.
Curious? Why not try it and see for yourself.
Those who did have spoken and loved it.
