Saw some of the clips when teens were sentenced after doing horrible crimes. Some were full of remorse knowing they wont be able to bail out because of the degree of the crime committed. Some were sincerely "sorry" for what they have done. But it was already too late. It was too late to say sorry, too late to repent and change. The judge has already made his decision and the verdict is final.
Today, I proclaim to you fb friends, that it is not too late. It is not too late to repent, to ask for forgiveness. It is not too late to come back to Jesus.
When we sin, we dont just sin to people, but to God. The prodigal son said in Luke 15:21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
But the Father welcomed Him in Luke 15:22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
Our sins deserve punishment. God will be our judge on that day and He will have all the records regarding things that we have done. Revelation 20:12-13 ....The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books..., ...."and each person was judged according to what they had done."
The verdict will be in Revelation 20:15 And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.
God loves us too much that He does not want us to suffer this eternal damnation but He sent His only Son, Jesus who paid the price. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
The Good news of the gospel is that John 5:24 "“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life."
Jesus is the one who will take away our sin if we believe Him and surrender our life to Him.
Our sin will weigh us down, it will make us miserable, depressed, suicidal, angry and etc. Sin will never have a positive impact in our lives.
Jesus said "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. .." Matthew 11:28.
Jesus is calling.. Come to Him and you will surely find Rest.
God bless you!
