What is a Grazing Board/Platter?
A grazing board combines the best of a cheeseboard and charcuterie platter into one indulgent selection of food. There's no strict recipe for a grazing board β simply gather together all your favourite nibbles, and arrange on a large platter or plate to share.
It consists of but not limited to:
β’ Cheeses
β’ Charcuterie (e.g., prosciutto, salami, chorizo)
β’ Fruits (e.g., berries, oranges, grapes)
β’ Vegetables (e.g., carrots, celery, radishes, cherry tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, endive leaves)
β’ Olives (e.g., Kalamata, green, or marinated mixed olives)
β’ Marinated artichoke hearts
β’ Marinated roasted red peppers
β’ Pickles (e.g., cornichon)
β’ Dried fruit (e.g., apricots, cranberries, cherries)
β’ Nuts (e.g., almonds, cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts)
β’ Crackers (choose different shape crackers for more interest; include gluten-free crackers for guests on special diets)
β’ Crunchies (e.g., baked chickpeas, popcorn, pretzels, cheese sticks)
β’ Dips (e.g., hummus or creamy dip)
β’ Chocolate covered dried fruit or nuts
β’ Pretty garnishes (e.g., kiwis, pomegranate, fresh figs, passion fruit, dragon fruit, starfruit, fresh herbs, edible flowers)
β’ Condiments (e.g., specialty mustards, honey, honeycomb, jams/preserves)
A well put together grazing board is a thing of beauty, like an overflowing harvest of little delicacies that all look so inviting you don't know what to try first!
