The Upsilon Sigma Phi congratulates 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗔. 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟲 for earning his Master of Social Work degree from the prestigious Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia on July 25, 2024.
Flinders University is a leading public university in Adelaide, ranked #336 in the QS World University Rankings for 2025. It is known for research in biomedical and clinical sciences, culture, policy and society, health and human behavior, molecular science and technology, defense, engineering, and environmental studies.
Fellow Lester is an accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and a registered Social Worker in 2025 under the Social Workers Registration Board in South Australia. He specializes in community development, healthcare, and the disability sector. With extensive experience in local and state government, he has worked with diverse groups, including older adults, Indigenous Australians, people with disabilities, incarcerated individuals, and youth in the child protection system. Committed to inclusivity, he promotes cross-disciplinary collaboration to address challenges and advocate for marginalized groups.
A 2021 graduate of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Fellow Lester earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and was an active member of the UPLB Sociology Society. As a youth delegate in the Ship for Southeast Asian & Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP), he helped implement the For Hopeful Children Project (FHCP) in Chonburi, Thailand, benefiting thousands of disadvantaged children across the country.
