IWB is a burger store born out of love. We created it for Leof, our youngest child who is on the autism spectrum. Daddy, a professional chef in Toronto, crafted the burgers based on the flavors our family grew to love here in North America. Even the name IWB was suggested by Leof’s older brothers.

From the very beginning, the business was designed with a purpose beyond serving burgers. We wanted to help support the autism community while creating a place where individuals on the spectrum, together with their families and friends, can feel safe, comfortable, and welcome.

Our logo was also a family decision. We know the puzzle piece can be a sensitive symbol in the autism community, but for us, it simply represents Leof because he absolutely loves puzzles. That’s why it became part of our logo and our story.

IWB was created to bring people together through good food, understanding, awareness, and acceptance.

To everyone who continues to support our store, thank you so much. Every visit, every order, every shared post, and every kind word means a lot to our family. What started as a simple dream inspired by our son has grown into a community filled with support, encouragement, and really good burgers. We are grateful for all of you for helping us keep this dream going — one burger at a time.

We’ve always wondered what In-N-Out Burger tastes like—so we chose a flight layover that would let us stop in L.A. and finally try it.

We let Leof try it… but it didn’t go the way we expected.

Leof is a child on the autism spectrum and experiences food in a very sensory way—he’s tactile-seeking, but also sensitive to smells and certain textures, especially when it comes to eating.

He’s very particular with his meals—especially his meat. It has to be freshly cooked. And when it comes to burgers, he keeps it simple: just the bun and the patty.

He notices details most people wouldn’t think twice about—like the difference between corn-fed beef here and the grass-fed beef he prefers. And somehow… he can tell.

So when Leof took a bite, he wasn’t happy.

Since we came back to North America, he hasn’t really been eating burgers.

He misses IWB burgers. For him, it’s not about hype or popularity. It’s about freshness, simplicity, and what his senses can comfortably accept.

Sometimes, simple really is best.

💙🍔 IWB: OJT Opportunities for Individuals in the Spectrum🍔💙

This Autism Month, we want to share something close to our hearts.

At IWB, we’ve always believed we are more than a burger store.
We are a place where people are seen, where effort matters, and where every small step forward is celebrated.

And this month, we are opening our doors to something very meaningful.

🌟 We Are Welcoming OJT Applicants on the Autism Spectrum

We are looking for individuals on the autism spectrum who are ready to take their first steps into a supported workplace experience through our On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program.

This is not just about work.
It’s about belonging, learning, and being given the space to grow at your own pace.

🧠💙 What This Journey Looks Like
• A gentle introduction to real work environments
• Patient, step-by-step guidance from our team
• Opportunities to build confidence and independence
• A space where different ways of learning are respected and supported

💙 Why This Matters to Us

This is not a project.
It is part of who we are.

We believe that inclusion should not be rare. It should be normal.
And that every person deserves the dignity of being given a chance—not judged by limitations, but supported through strengths.

For us, this Autism Month is not about awareness alone.
It is about action, opportunity, and heart.

📩 How to Join

If you are a parent or guardian interested in the program, please message us for:
• Application details
• Parent questionnaire
• Assessment schedule

Spaces are limited as we want to ensure every trainee receives proper care and attention.

🍔💙 More Than a Business

At IWB, we don’t just serve burgers.
We serve patience. We serve hope. We serve opportunity.

And most of all—we serve people.

💛 A Little Update from IWB

Hi everyone!

Starting March 2026, we’ll be taking Mondays and Tuesdays off from regular dine-in operations.

We’ll be using these two days to recharge and work behind the scenes so we can continue giving you the best experience possible. A little reset helps us serve you better 😊

That said — Mondays and Tuesdays are still open for advance orders for small private gatherings.

We’ll continue welcoming you Wednesday through Sunday as usual.

Most importantly, please know that we will continue donating a portion of our direct sales to support our autism advocacies. Your continued support helps us make a difference in a cause that is very close to our hearts.

Thank you for always supporting us — we truly appreciate our IWB community. 💛
