What began in 2023 as a simple passion project has grown into a story of resilience, reinvention, and relentless pursuit. Founded by Darylle โDarsโ Cambal, an active Kota Associate, DARโs BBQ was built with one clear mission: to bring people together over great barbecue while serving as a personal training ground in entrepreneurship. From school events to local city bazaars, the brand steadily gained momentum, fueled by community energy and a shared love for good food.
Like many growing ventures, the journey was not without its turning points. In 2024, Cambalโs first business partner decided to focus on their familyโs clothing printing business. The transition marked a quiet season for DARโs BBQโbut one filled with gratitude for their solidarity and comradeship. The foundation, lessons, and experiences built during those early days remained invaluable, even as operations temporarily slowed.
The year 2025 became a period of silent rebuilding. Behind the scenes, Cambal explored different hustles and income streams to fund the revival of the brand. Month by month, piece by piece, he worked to reacquire equipment, restore operations, and rebuild DARโs BBQ from the ground up. It was a season defined not by noise, but by determination.
Yet even while the grills stood still, the vision did not. Instead of simply reopening, Cambal chose to return stronger. Months were dedicated to research and developmentโrefining sauce profiles, perfecting recipe consistency and longevity, expanding the menu, and elevating the brandโs identity. The focus was clear: ensure that every aspect of DARโs BBQ would be as professional as it is flavorful.
Now, in March 2026, the fire officially returns. No longer just a pop-up concept, DARโs BBQ stands as a testament to growth, grit, and the power of perseverance. More than a menu, it represents a journey of learning, rebuilding, and refusing to give upโeven when stepping back seemed easier.
