MS3 is made up of farmers who have come together through community and culture. We believe that a thriving community should always be founded in a culture of generosity. Remarkable things have happened just by being surrounded with people who are just as earnest and dedicated in our cause. Our founder, Neil Q. Santillan, is showcasing our halal-certified cacao and chocolate products at the Embassy of the Philippines pavilion.

This marks an important return to the Qatar market for MS3. We previously had strong relationships with buyers there before the pandemic disrupted operations. The invitation from the Philippine Embassy offers us a chance to rebuild those connections and introduce our expanded product line to Middle Eastern distributors and retailers.

AgriteQ brings together agricultural producers, food manufacturers, and buyers from across the region. The exhibition provides direct access to markets where demand for halal-certified, plant-based products continues to grow.

Our booth features the full range of MS3 products: cacao tablets, powder, nibs, and various chocolate bars. Each product maintains the quality standards and certifications required for international trade, including our halal certification and FDA approvals.

Our company - MS3 Chocolates - is a DOST-certified Halal manufacturer (FDA), and we were constantly looking for ways to enhance our transparency.

We shared our vision through MS3โ€™s Founder Mr. Abdul Kareem Santillan, with DOST XI and the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP)โ€”a vision of a chocolate supply chain so transparent that a consumer could scan a code and see the entire journey of their chocolate bar. They immediately saw the potential not just for MS3, but for the entire Philippine cacao industry.

This shared vision led to the birth of the HATTS projectโ€”the Halal Transparent Traceability System. DOST provided the funding and strategic direction, USeP provided the brilliant technical expertise and R&D leadership, and we, MS3, provided the real-world laboratoryโ€”our farms and factoryโ€”to develop, test, and implement this groundbreaking system. It was a perfect partnership between industry, government, and academia.
