After a lot of thought, weโve decided to close WeekendMatcha permanently.
What started as a small pop-up at Crocodile Park became something so much bigger than we ever expected. From flea markets, to opening our own little slowbar, to whisking matcha by the waves in Siargao, weโve made so many memories that weโll always carry with us.
Along the way, we met so many wonderful people. Some started as customers and became familiar faces, friends, and loyal supporters. We also met other cafes and small businesses who became part of our journey. Weโre so grateful for the little community we found along the way.
WeekendMatcha became a big part of our lives, and saying goodbye is not easy.
Weโre closing because we feel that itโs time for us to focus on our individual careers and on the next chapter of our lives. Itโs a difficult decision, but one we feel is right for us at this point in our journey.
To everyone who supported us, visited our slowbar, came back for another cup, shared our posts, poured your own matcha, and simply cheered us on, thank you.
Thank you for making us feel loved and valued. Weโll always be grateful that we got to share WeekendMatcha with you.
