Ana’s Breeders Farms, Incorporated (ABFI) is one of the pioneering producers of fresh chicken in Mindanao with its own flagship brand “Farmers Fresh Chicken.” Tracing its humble beginning in 1975, it was then known as “Ana’s Poultry Farm,” operating in a lean capacity with a rented farm of 2000 layer hens and 2000 broilers with three employees. ons to 4,000 layer hens and 3,000 broilers and continuously increased it to approximately 10,000 layer hens including commercial toll hatching of eggs for breeder stock until the 1990s. Business relationships were then forged with food producing companies who have availed of exclusive use of its hatchery facility. Ana’s Poultry has entered into long term contract agreement with some of the food chain players in Davao which enabled more poultry farms for parent stock breeding and broiler production. In 1995, Ana’s Poultry Farm changed its name to Ana’s Breeders Farms, Inc. (ABFI) and was incorporated in December 11 of the same year with the Securities & Exchange Commission. Over the years, ABFI has provided its own dressing plant, hatcheries, and independent farms equipped with fully automated operations. Ana’s progressive integration initiatives including the first Automated Caged Type Controlled Climate System Broiler House in the Philippines’ poultry industry, direct market entry of Farmer’s Fresh Chicken in the local & national distribution channels, food processing and solar-powered feedmill facility paved more opportunities among major food chain players in the Philippines and the foreign markets. ABFI is continually improving its business processes to complement the market’s increasing demand for excellent, safe and quality poultry-based food products.
