Ackkk… So busy and very occupied to update this page, but I really miss posting my “a day in my life” stories and even my daily reminders.
These past few weeks, I’ve been very busy because of our group project. Or I’d rather call it an invention because we really invented two new compound machines from scratch using recycled materials. And finally, it’s done, so I can finally relax.
I’ve been very busy, yet I remained strong enough to keep fighting. As I stood in front of the class presenting our project, I remembered those days of staying late at school and staying awake in the middle of the night, thinking of more ideas just to make our project as creative as possible.
I admit that in the middle of the process, I almost lost interest and wanted to give up because I really hate it when I’m not satisfied with my own work. We actually changed our project at the last minute because the original one suddenly failed to work. That part was really frustrating because I was the one who studied and worked on it, only for all that effort to go to waste.
I actually had someone by my side comforting me, but because I was so disappointed and stressed at that time, I let my emotions take over and ended up arguing with him. I was lucky to have such an understanding friend because he stayed with me despite everything.
Then one night, I found myself praying and asking for God’s guidance. That’s when I realized that I had hurt people, not physically but emotionally, simply because I was hurting too.
When I shared my journey and my group’s journey in creating those two compound machines, I felt really touched when my classmates said that all our hard work was worth it. At that moment, I realized that none of our efforts had gone to waste after all.
This experience taught me that not every setback is the end of the story. Sometimes, things fall apart so we can build something even better. I also learned that pressure is never an excuse to hurt the people who choose to stay by our side. Most importantly, I realized that when everything feels too heavy to carry alone, praying and trusting God’s timing can give us the strength to keep going. In the end, success isn’t just about finishing a project. It’s about growing through the process, learning from our mistakes, and becoming a better person because of them.
