Kape ni Manang

I’ve been wanting to eat here for the longest time—even back when they were still at their old location in Villa Libertad. More than the food, I was curious about the restaurant’s simple and humble atmosphere.

One random afternoon, we decided to look for the place after hearing they had already moved to Pasadeña. After a bit of searching, we finally found it—and it was definitely worth it.

My friends ordered the Batchoy (not in the photos because I forgot to take one, but I did get a video). I honestly wanted to order it too, but I didn’t want them teasing me for copying, so I went with their Chicken Inasal instead.

My verdict?

I asked for a taste of my friend’s Batchoy broth, and wow… I honestly can’t explain the flavor. It’s rich, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. An easy 11/10 for me.

As for the Chicken Inasal—call me OA if you want—but I genuinely enjoyed it more than that famous unlimited-rice inasal chain. The chicken was flavorful, juicy, and perfectly grilled 1M/10 🤪.

I also loved their homemade mango juice. It wasn’t overly sweet or artificial—it had that simple, refreshing homemade taste that paired perfectly with the meal.

And if you’re wondering about the price, it’s actually more affordable than some of the places in town that people consider “cheap,” yet the food here is on a whole different level.

We weren’t even done eating, yet we were already planning our next visit. My work colleague keeps saying their Pork Sisig is just as good, so I guess we already know what we’re ordering next time.

Some places don’t need fancy interiors or extravagant presentations. Good food, reasonable prices, and genuine flavors are more than enough to keep people coming back—and this place is definitely one of them. 🤍
