MangGyatt

MangGyatt Binangkal is a popular snack eaten mainly in Visayas. With MangGyatt it explores never before explored territories with our mango flavored binangkal

MangGyatt was born from a desire to celebrate and modernize traditional Visayan flavors. The concept emerged from the brainstorm session among nine student entrepreneurs from Manila Science High School with a vision of a product that would merge the charm of traditional delicacies with innovative contemporary trends that resonate with today’s generation. The foundation of MangGyatt combines the tr

aditional Visayan delicacy, binangkal, a sesame seed-coated fried pastry beloved from its crispy exterior and soft interior. The team decided to innovate the classic recipe by infusing it with mango and peach-mango puree with fresh mango slices, creating a pioneering product that honors tradition while offering a new, exciting flavorful experience. Mango, as the Philippines’ national fruit, was the perfect choice, not only for its cultural relevance in the Philippine setting, but also its universal appeal to the global food market. The name “MangGyatt” encapsulates the heart of the concept: a playful fusion of “mangga” (the Filipino word for mango) and “gyatt” (a Gen Z slang expression denoting excitement and surprise). This dynamic playful naming fusion reflects the youthful energy and creativity of the team, aiming to spark joy and curiosity in every customer. MangGyatt’s logo embodies the playful and cheeky spirit of Manggyatt. The design features two binangkal pastries side by side, cleverly symbolizing "butts" to tie into the "gyatt" context and humor, with the text "MangGyatt" next to it. The “G” in MangGyatt pops in a vibrant mango yellow, and to top it off, there's a subtle “wow face” to embody that delightful reaction you’ll get when you taste MangGyatt —kasi mapapa-”Oh My Gyatt!" ka sa bawat kagat.
