RMTEA CAFE — BREWED FROM A DREAM
In the quiet town of Ferrol, Romblon, there lived a young boy with simple dreams and a heart full of hope. Growing up in a humble family, he learned early that success was never handed freely — it was earned through sacrifice, faith, and perseverance.
As a child, he loved watching people smile over simple food and drinks shared with family and friends. Even then, he dreamed of building something that would bring joy to others someday.
Driven by his ambition, he left his hometown and moved to Manila to study Medical Technology. Life in the city was not easy. There were sleepless nights, difficult exams, homesickness, and moments of doubt. But despite the hardships, he carried with him the prayers of his family and the dream of creating a better future.
Whenever he returned home to Ferrol, he noticed something missing. There were very few places where young people and families could relax, bond, and enjoy quality drinks and snacks together. He realized that his hometown deserved a place filled with warmth, comfort, and good memories.
With courage in his heart, he humbly approached his mother and asked for a small starting capital. Though they had little, his mother believed in him wholeheartedly. That simple act of faith became the beginning of something bigger than they ever imagined.
As he graduated from UERM and became a Registered Medical Technologist, he discovered a unique connection between his profession and his passion for drink-making. Precision, creativity, science, and service — both worlds required dedication and care. Inspired by this, he built a café that reflected both his journey and identity.
And so, RMTEA Cafe was born.
More than just a café, RMTEA became a symbol of dreams brewed through hard work and faith. It became a safe space where people could gather, laugh, study, celebrate, and create memories together.
He is currently a board certified Medical Technologist here in the Philippines, and a Board Certified Member of International Medical Laboratory Scientist of the American Society for Pathology (ASCP).
But his story did not end there.
Even while managing the café, he continued chasing an even greater dream — becoming a doctor. Today, he is pursuing his studies in Medicine, carrying with him the same mission he had as a young boy: to serve and help his fellow kababayans.
From a humble child in Ferrol to a dreamer building hope for his community, his story proves that no dream is too small when fueled by faith, perseverance, and love.
Because sometimes, the greatest journeys begin with nothing more than:
a prayer,
a mother’s support,
and the courage to start.
