We get asked a lot…
“If you have this many hens, why not 100% eggs every day?”

Because doesn’t work on a perfect schedule 💛
A hen’s laying cycle is about 26 hours—not 24. So production shifts daily.

Today’s is just the first of three collections.
We collect multiple times a day to keep clean and fresh 🧺

And yes… our coops are intentionally far apart.
More , more , more effort—for both chickens and farmers.

✨He is Risen! Happy Easter!✨

Grateful for the land, the animals, the work, and the life we’ve been given—but above all, grateful for Jesus and His sacrifice so that we may be saved. ✝️✨

Farm life doesn’t really do “days off.” No matter the day, the chickens still need feeding, the animals still need care, and the work keeps moving. But there’s something special about pausing—even in the middle of chores—to reflect, give thanks, and remember what truly matters. 🌿🐓🐄

We had a lovely guest join us as we collected eggs, fed our chickens their azolla greens, and topped up their free-choice calcium.

Nothing fancy… just good, honest farm days under the sun ☀️💛
