About Redenson Farm

Redensonfarm.com is a good resource for farmers or future farmers looking to start their farm business. As Filipino farmers, many among us are really good at raising chickens (for meat and for eggs), pigs, tilapia on tank, herding cattle and carabao, growing vegetables, coconuts and bananas but not all of us are great in marketing of our crops. And that is the greatest proble

m of the farmers in Philippines. Me personally, if I could just raise my produce and give them away and still live a good life, I would. I must make money doing what I love to do for the growing needs of my family and the ministry which is so dear to me. Maybe you:
• Are an OFW and planning to start your own business in the Philippines but don’t know where to start.
• Are about to retire and dreaming to have your business where you are now the boss.
• Are looking to start a farm but don't know where and how to begin it
• Are more than a year running your own farm and you really need to make the business sustainable.
• Or you have been farming for more than three years and you are looking to expand your farm business or bring it to the next level. No matter where you are on your journey as a farmer, www.redensonfarm.com in some way will be helpful resources for you. I will be sharing all my successes and failures hoping that it might help you out of trouble or avoiding the mistake I committed in running the business. I am not yet so proficient in this poultry business but keeps on learning by applying what I learned from the seminars, reading agricultural books and magazines, watching videos and youtube. I know there’s a long, long way to go but a long journey always starts with a first step. So come and join me with this new adventure. I will keep you posted about the progress in my farm. If there is something that you have been looking for and have not been able to find, or if there is something you would like to add to this site, please feel free to contact me. This is an ever growing resource which thrives off of your collaborative efforts. My name is Reden Ituralba, a Christian, father of 3 kids, husband to my wife Cecil, Civil Engineer by profession, an ex-Overseas Filipino Worker, and now a poultry farmer. I was trained as a rice farmer since I was a little boy under the keen eye of my seasoned farmer father. My main operation has always been a broiler and egg production using a new technology I learned from reading agriculture magazines and watching You Tube channel. God willing in some time future, I want to expand it and planning also to venture on pig farming using the innovative method widely known as Babuyang Walang Amoy, as well as goat farming, and growing some vegetables using the chicken and pigs manure. Before getting seriously into chicken farming, raising chickens and farm animals has always been my passion since my childhood. From just three hens and one roaster, I have raised more than hundred heads of native chickens in one season when I was seventeen years old. Even when living in the city, I once raised broilers at the laundry area of our apartment in Quezon City and then at the backyard of my Grocery Store. Raising chickens has always been a special place in my heart and my wife has always been so supportive with my passion. My life is full of interesting journey. Though I grew up in the middle of the farm, I never remained as a farmer. I went to Divine Word College of Calapan and graduated with a degree of Civil Engineering. After passing the National Licensure Examination for Civil Engineers, I moved to Manila where I worked for eight years and practiced my profession as a Civil Engineer, got married to my bride – Cecil, then worked in abroad for fourteen years. After getting tired of working abroad – living away from my family (that is the meaning of working abroad for me) for fourteen years, me and my wife decided to use our small parcel of land in Oriental Mindoro into poultry farm – putting into a bigger scale the passion that I have. It’s quite scary since I am putting aside my bread and butter and putting all the remaining resources at stake in exchange of being together with the family. So big step for me – just keeping and holding on the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ. Before giving up my work in abroad, through the untiring help and support of my brother and friend Jun Paulo Sena, www.redensonfarm.com website was started. This has been my multimedia publishing company with the goal of educating and inspiring OFWs in abroad and the next generation of farmers in my place. Drawing from my background and experiences as a young farmer, I wanted to share my story with others in the hope that more people will decide to choose farming as a career, either on their retirement period or in the productive stage of their lives. I love what I am doing every day in my farm. I have found pleasure and fulfillment in farming that I hated before when I was a young boy. I thought, I totally abandoned my previous life as a famer but here again coming back to continue farming in a better way using the technologies and new insights from the agriculture professionals. On a regular basis, I get to create life and then share the experience with others. I grow food that is not only good for my family but also for my community. I’m so excited for this new adventure of my life. May the Lord Jesus Christ be known and be glorified through this new journey as he keeps on pouring his grace and mercy on my life. All the glory and honor belongs to him alone! Praise the Lord!!!
