Beans & Bites brought SATORI Specialty Coffee S A T O R Ī from Makati to Iligan City for Barista & Coffee Sensory Workshop last June 26, 2026.

We’re so happy to witness the growing Iligan coffee community and its members’ eagerness to dive deeper into the world of specialty coffee.

A heartfelt thank you to Kim Kim Co of SATORI for generously sharing your knowledge, craft, and passion for coffee with us.

Experience exclusive sensory workshop and barista foundation with 4 hours each of session at Beans & Bites - Iligan’s Neighborhood Slow Bar , hosted by Kim Co from Satori.

Led by Kim Co Daluz , the session focuses on refining sensory awareness and palate calibration through structured aroma recognition, flavor mapping and standardized cupping methodology. You will explore the foundations of coffee sensory science while learning to identify and differentiate acidity, sweetness, body, all while developing a shared and precise language for aroma and flavor categories.

Using Le Nez du Cafe and SCA cupping protocols, this workshop builds objective perception, scoring alignment, and professional evaluation skills. Each exercise is intentionally designed to sharpen sensory memory, improve accuracy, and strengthen confidence in assessing coffee quality.

For Barista Foundation that is designed to build a strong, well rounded foundation, covering everything from dialing in espresso with preciion to understanding essential cafe workflows. It offers a structured awareness behind the bar.
