If you're a senior citizen facing issues like denial of your discount or other benefits, you can file a complaint with the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 (𝗢𝗦𝗖𝗔) in your local government unit. OSCA is responsible for ensuring that the rights and privileges of senior citizens, as provided under 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗼. 𝟵𝟵𝟵𝟰 (Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010), are upheld.

However, it's important to note that 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 establishments selling 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗡𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝗕𝗡𝗣𝗖𝘀) and are registered under the 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 (BMBE) Act of 2002 (RA 9178) are 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 from granting the 𝟱% 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗪𝗗 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻 (under JAO NO. 24-02, S.2024).

This exemption is provided to encourage the growth of small businesses.
