Reality vs expectations?

Sometimes the best perk isn’t the salary-
Time, peace of mind and freedom to choose whatever you want to do.

POV: You’re exhausted, stressed, mentally checked out…

…but you still log in, get things done, and pretend you have your life together. 😅

Not every day is a productive day.
Some days are just “I showed up” days.

And that’s okay.

A gentle reminder: you are fortunate.

Dear Joyce,

“Ang sarap siguro mag-work from home. Nasa bahay ka lang naman.”

That comment always makes me smile. 😆

Because yes, I work from home.

But somehow people imagine I’m lying in bed with my laptop, drinking coffee, answering a few emails, then calling it a day.

They don’t see the deadlines.
The back-to-back calls.
The pressure to stay productive even when home is full of distractions.
The discipline it takes when your office is also your bedroom, kitchen, and living room.

Working from home is comfortable.

But comfortable doesn’t mean easy.

I’m grateful for this setup because I get more time with my family, I skip the commute, and I get to build a life around work instead of the other way around.

But just like any other job, it still requires consistency, skills, and showing up every single day.

So no… I’m not “just at home.”

I’m working.

Dear Joyce,

I know you can do it but sometimes you don’t have to do it alone.
