A quick weekend getaway before the hustle begins again.

Sometimes, the best thing we can do is pause—step away from the noise, breathe deeply, and just be. To reflect, to realign, and to recharge the energy we so easily give away.

Because rest isn’t a reward
 it’s part of the journey.

Never thought I’d get a pet in this lifetime.

I’m not a pet person.
I don’t like things that need maintenance
and constant attention.

But now I understand.
The quiet comfort.
The small routines.
The kind of presence that doesn’t ask for much—
but somehow gives so much.

Coffee first, emails later.
And now
a little pause for paws. đŸ±â˜•

Coffee first, emails later. ☕

It’s been a busy week
 but not the usual kind.

Not deadlines, not meetings — just life happening in the softest ways.

Walks with friends slowly turning into a daily habit.

Choosing movement, fresh air, and a little chismis over staying glued to a screen.

And somewhere in between, I became a cat mom to a cat son and daughter.
Equal parts exhausting and comforting — but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

A different kind of busy.
Slower, fuller, and honestly
 better.

Coffee first, emails later-
We belatedly celebrated my birthday because of Zach’s exam.

This Damires’ weekend is an absolute need as Lee and I are under the weather.
We have always like the laid back and chill stay here.
Our favorite, (besides the food) the SPA!

So, three WFH titas decided to start walking.

Honestly, we don’t feel old yet
but our bodies and lab results are starting to say otherwise. LMAO.

A sedentary lifestyle is pretty much an occupational hazard when you work from home — even more when your work hours are nocturnal.

So instead of just complaining about back pain and low energy, we finally decided to do something about it. Walking it is.

Nothing intense. Just steps, fresh air, a little chismis, and a lot of laughter.

One of my biggest flexes?
My son’s passion for the arts.

He invited me to watch him present his artworks during their culminating activity at school.

Despite too much caffeine and too little sleep, I stayed — and I was in awe.

So young, yet so full of talent and potential. It was a pleasure watching the SPA students sing, dance and performed their hearts out.

Some people get curious why we chose public education for Zach, but moments like this solidify our decision — choosing the Special Program in Arts at Dumangas National High School was the right one.

Honing their strengths, nurturing their gifts — that’s the way to go. đŸ€

Today’s random thought:
The Broken Window Theory.

It says when small signs of disorder are ignored, bigger problems slowly follow. Because when it looks like no one cares, people stop caring too.

The small habits we ignore.
The tiny red flags we excuse.
The boundaries we let slide.

Sometimes growth isn’t about big dramatic change.
Sometimes it’s just fixing the small “broken windows” in our own space.

Sip. Reflect. Reset.
Then answer the emails.

Today, I walked with Heizel. No rush. No agenda. Just steps and stories.

Realizations:

📍Not everyone is meant to stay.
Peace is more important than being right.

📍Growth sometimes looks like walking away.

📍Healing isn’t dramatic. It’s consistent.

I’m no longer afraid of letting go of people who drain me.
