It’s been almost 3 years since I decided to leave my career as a seafarer. I chose a different path and focused on building my own business. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has taught me something valuable.Now, opportunities are still knocking. Sometimes, life brings you back to the crossroads where you have to choose between the life you built and the dreams you once had. The sea will always be part of my story, but so will the business I worked hard to build.Balik barko, or padayon sa negosyo? Whatever the decision may be, I believe that the right path will reveal itself at the right time.

Today marks two birthdays, the incredible 165 years since Wilhelmsen was founded in Norway on 1 October 1861, plus the impressive 51 years since Wilhelmsen Ship Management formed.

Lasting as long as we have is an achievement in itself. Few companies do. It takes people who adapt, improve, find new opportunities and keep moving forward.

To everyone who has played a part in getting us here, and to those doing so today, this is your birthday too.
