When you visiting grave.
Specific Duas for the DeceasedAfter giving the general salam, you can pray for specific family members or all the deceased using these authentic requests:For general forgiveness and mercy:
Allahum-ghfir lahum wa-rhamhum wa 'afihim wa-fu 'anhum.
(O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, grant them safety, and pardon them.)
For expanding and illuminating the grave:
Allahumma j'al qabrahum rawdatan min riyad al-jannah, wa la taj'al qabrahum hufrotan min niran-n-nar.
(O Allah, make their grave a meadow from the meadows of Paradise, and do not make it a pit from the fires of Hell.)
For a specific deceased person (e.g., a father or mother)
:Allahumma-ghfir 👉[name]👈 wa-rhamhu, wa rafi' darajatahu fil-mahdiyyin.
(O Allah, forgive 👉[name]👈 and have mercy on him, and raise his rank among the guided ones.)
