Pio came to pick up his sister’s birthday cake. Since he and our girls are good friends, stayed a good while catching up.

Na happy ko sa photo Mommy Jenny sent because I saw the complimentary cookie we sent for the birthday girl survived the trip with Kuya Pio intact, whole, untouched, uneaten 😄 Very thoughtful Kuya!

The Original/OG Chocolate Flan Cake can also come with strawberries like below. For cakes with berries, it’s best to preorder early in the week because local strawberries ship only once a week—midweek or thereabouts. Local strawberries arrive fresh from the farm and at a much better price than the ones from US. Also, really good to be supporting our own local farmers.

So, I’d been thinking about layer cakes for weeks. And flans, fillings, process, how to stack them securely, how it will look like. It stayed in my mind but never really gotten around to actually making it. Until Mommy Doc Joy inquired if I can make a bigger version of the Lemon Flan Cake. Immediately, I said, “NO!” 😂 I discovered “imagining/thinking” and actually receiving a request are 2 different things! I wasn’t ready yet to make it a reality.

Months after, Titing began asking about cakes with mango filling. I thought, “alright it’s time na gyud to experiment.” Thank you, ladies, for the push. Your interest encouraged me to stretch myself and do something new and very scary 😅

Mommy Doc Joy, it was truly a great pleasure making this premium version for your Auntie Marilou’s 65th birthday. Kulba kaayo hantud na alimungawan pa gyud pagtulog lol pero I had so much fun! Thank you so much! 🧡
