🚨 SCAMMER AWARENESS POST 🚨
We want to raise awareness about an individual we recently transacted with online to help protect fellow small business owners.
A person using the name “Rell Book” placed an order from us worth ₱3,500+, plus a delivery fee of ₱361, for a total of ₱3,861. He sent a screenshot of a payment receipt indicating a future date when the funds would reflect in our account.
Although we had initial doubts, we still chose to proceed with the order because we always strive to provide excellent service to our customers.
Unfortunately, the promised date passed and no payment was received.
We reached out to him again, and he claimed it might be a bank issue, so we gave him more time. However, after that, he stopped responding completely. We tried calling multiple times but received no answer.
Upon further checking, we searched the name “Rell Book” on Facebook and discovered that a local business in Cebu had already reported a similar experience with the same individual.
We take responsibility for trusting the transaction despite the red flags. While this amount may seem small to some, it is already a significant loss for us as a small business.
And to you, Mr. Rell Book, if you ever come across this, we hope you reflect on what you’re doing. These actions may seem easy now, but they affect real people trying to earn an honest living. What you’re doing will eventually come back to you, and not in a good way. We urge you to stop this behavior while you still can and choose a better path.
