‎𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Libmanan stages first "Sikad sa Pag-asenso" MTB Criterium

LIBMANAN, Camarines Sur — Cycling enthusiasts from various municipalities gathered at DB Farm Campsite, Brgy. Potot, Libmanan on July 19, 2026 for the "Sikad sa Pag-Asenso" MTB Criterium, a community-driven biking event aimed at promoting health, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among riders.

The race featured four categories with registration fees set at ₱150 for All Libmanan, ₱250 for Age Group, and ₱350 for Executive 36 and Up. Participants competed on a fast-paced criterium course that tested both speed and technical skill.

In the 17 Years Old and Below category, Arvin Salvadora of Iriga City claimed 1st place, followed by Ezekiel Migiel Concepcion of San Pedro, Cabusao in 2nd, and John Carl De Villa of Balatan, Camarines Sur in 3rd.

In the 18 to 29 Years Old division, Jaye Panfon of Naga City secured the top spot, with Jonnel Cossinero of Iriga City finishing 2nd and Giluard Obueno of Nabua, Camarines Sur placing 3rd.

The All Libmanan category was dominated by homegrown riders, with Robi Jim Ruz of Candato winning 1st place, Gtr Dizon of Bagumbayan placing 2nd, and Renjo Gabriel Andalip of Bagumbayan finishing 3rd.

In the Executive 36 and Up category, Aezron Vasquez of Daet, Camarines Norte emerged as champion. Darrel Serrano of Labo, Camarines Norte placed 2nd, Renet Oapallas of San Fernando, Camarines Sur took 3rd, Rey Caeza of Tigaon, Camarines Sur finished 4th, and Ronan Padua of Naga City placed 5th.

Event organizers commended all participants for their discipline and competitive spirit. They emphasized that "Sikad sa Pag-Asenso" is more than a race — it is a movement that encourages an active lifestyle and unity within the Libmanan biking community. The success of the event highlighted the growing interest in cycling as both a sport and a means of promoting progress in the municipality.
