FULL BLOODED PINOY CHESS CHAMPION!🇵🇭❤️🏆

23/08/2026

"Manny Pacquiao lost one of the most anticipated fights in boxing history. But what happened after the final bell tells a far more meaningful story than any scorecard ever could.

Pacquiao took the majority of his $100 million purse from the 2015 Mayweather fight and built 1,500 concrete homes for poor Filipino families. Two bedrooms, electricity, running water, kitchens—given away completely free. No strings attached.

There's a particular weight to this choice when you know where Pacquiao came from: sleeping on cardboard as a child, selling bread on the streets to survive. He knew intimately what it means to be without shelter. He understood that a roof isn't a luxury—it's a foundation for everything else a life can become.

In a world where enormous wealth often breeds distance from struggle, Pacquiao's decision stands as a quiet rebuke to that assumption. The greatest title he ever held wasn't a championship belt. It was the one he gave to thousands of families who finally had a place to call home."

A Filipino Kid Gave Me His Last Peso, That's When I Understood This Country

I've been walking this earth for 67 years now.

Worked construction in Milwaukee for 34 of those years.

Raised two kids, buried a wife, started over more times than I care to count.

And I thought I understood people pretty well by now.

Thought I had the world figured out.

I mean, literally.

the stress, the cost, the isolation, the slow grinding down of everything that made me feel like a person.

It was killing me.

And I know there are people watching this right now who are in that exact situation.

You're 70, 75, maybe 80.

You're sitting in a house that's too big and too expensive in a country that has slowly stopped caring whether you can afford your medication.

And [clears throat] you're thinking, "It's too late for me.

I'm too old.

I missed the window.

You didn't miss anything.

The window is open".

I climbed through it at 76 and it was the best decision I ever made in my life.

better than my career choices, better than most of my marriages, and I've had three, so I've got a decent sample size.

Let me back up a little.

My name is Gerald Kowalsski.

Most people call me Jerry.

I grew up in Parma, Ohio, which is a suburb of Cleveland.

Bluecollar Polish family.

My dad worked at a stamping plant.

My mom cleaned houses.

I went to a state school, got a degree in accounting, and spent the next 40ome years doing exactly that.

I wasn't rich.

I wasn't poor.

I was that middle thing that used to exist in America where you could own a home, raise kids, retire with a pension, and not worry too much.

That middle thing doesn't really exist anymore.

At least not the way it used to.

But I caught the tail end of it.

I retired at 65 from a midsized manufacturing company outside of Akran.

I had a pension, social security, a little bit in a 401k, and a paidoff house.

On paper, I was fine.

In reality, I was about to enter what I now call the slow squeeze.

The first few years of retirement were okay.

My second wife, Donna, was still alive then, [clears throat] and we had a routine.

We'd go to the diner on Saturdays.

We'd visit the grandkids.

We'd watch Jeopardy and argue about the answers.

It was small, but it was a life.

Then Donna got sick.

Pancreatic cancer.

She was gone in 4 months.

That was 2014.

I was 70 years old, alone in a three-bedroom house in a neighborhood where I barely knew anyone anymore, and the world just sort of went gray.

I'm not going to dwell on grief because everyone who's lived long enough knows what it feels like, and words don't really capture it.

Anyway, what I will say is that the grief exposed something I'd been ignoring, which is that the math of my life was no longer working.

The house needed a new roof.

Property taxes had gone up again.

My supplemental insurance premium jumped 30% in one year.

I was spending almost $400 a month just on prescriptions, blood pressure, cholesterol, a thyroid thing, an arthritis medication that my insurance decided to stop covering...

THE PLAYBOOK OF DECEPTION: AFP BLASTS BEIJING'S BROKEN PROMISES 🇵🇭⚓

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has issued a fierce rebuttal to the Chinese Embassy’s latest narrative push over the BRP Sierra Madre, calling out Beijing's long track record of historical revisionism and bad faith.

📌 Here is the official statement released through the Defense Press Corps:

AFP OFFICIAL STATEMENT

The AFP rejects the recent statement from the Chinese Embassy in Manila attempting to rewrite history regarding the presence of the BRP Sierra Madre at Ayungin Shoal.

The Chinese Communist Party speaks of "promises" and "demands," yet it very easily forgets its own track record of deceptive narratives in our waters.

Let us look back to 1995 when the CCP first illegally occupied Panganiban Reef (Mischief Reef)—a feature within our EEZ. IT IS ON RECORD that their foreign ministry leadership assured the Philippines and the international community the small, octagonal wooden structures built on stilts were merely "shelters for local fishermen" and explicitly promised that these temporary structures possessed no military purpose. Today, those "shelters" have been transformed into a fortified, 550-hectare military airbase complete with a 3,000-meter runway, missile emplacements, radar domes and naval berths.

Mischief Reef stands as a permanent, concrete monument to their deceptive strategy in the West Philippine Sea.

Unlike their illegal island-building and militarization of low-tide elevations inside our EEZ, the presence of the BRP Sierra Madre on Ayungin Shoal is a lawful, permanent sovereign deployment on a feature over which we exercise sovereign rights and jurisdiction.

This was affirmed by the 2016 Arbitral Tribunal which ruled that Ayungin Shoal is a low-tide elevation w/in our EEZ and that China's claims are completely devoid of any legal basis.

No binding commitment was made to remove the BRP Sierra Madre from Ayungin Shoal. The AFP remains firm in executing its mandate to protect Philippine national sovereignty, uphold international law, and maintain our presence on Ayungin Shoal.

WE WILL NEVER ABANDON BRP SIERRA MADRE.
— Ret. Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad (Res.) Spokesperson for West Philippine Sea, Armed Forces of the Philippines

📌 Quick Takeaways for Mobile Readers:

🔸 The Mischief Reef Trap: Beijing promised 1995 structures were just "fisherman shelters," only to turn them into a massive 550-hectare military base.
🔸 Zero Legal Basis: The 2016 Arbitral Award proves China's claims are empty, affirming Ayungin Shoal sits firmly inside the Philippine EEZ.
🔸 Standing Firm: No removal agreement exists. The deployment of the Sierra Madre remains fully lawful.

Sovereignty is non-negotiable. 🇵🇭
