COPPER: Its deficiency leads to Sway back disease, most commonly in goat kids .It also causes steely wool or string wool ,loss of crimps of wool.Deficiency of copper and cobalt causes hypochromic anemia.It causes depigmentation of hairs.

PHOSPHORUS -Post parturient hemoglobinuria in bovines,mostly accompanied by P deficiency; Pica; deprived appetite, Infertility and bone related issues.

SODIUM -Its deficiency causes Addison disease in dogs; It also causes corneal keratinization.Impotency in males , cannibalism in poultry birds.

ZINC -It commonly causes Parakeratosis in young pigs. It is the main reason of swollen hock syndrome in Poultry birds.

MANGANESE -It Causes perosis in poultry, It is also related to deficiency of choline.

COBALT -Co is required for Vit.B12 synthesis by ruminants,Vit B12 deficiency then causes pining disease.It also causes Anemia and infertility in ruminants.

MAGNESIUM -Deficiency of Mg causes Grass tetany which is related to excess of potassium in diet, which inhibits the absorption of Mg.

IODINE - It causes goiter in animals,Hairless pups and decline in libido .

SELENIUM -Se deficiency causes Impaired fertility in male and female, Exudative diathesis and gizzard myopathy in chicken.White muscle disease in calf.

IRON -Its deficiency causes Thump in piglets and anemia in animals.

FLUORINE -It is important for teeth of which deficiency causes Dental caries , while excess of F causes fluorosis in animals.

CALCIUM - It is very important for bone growth of which deficiency causes Osteoporosis,Osteomalacia and Rickets in young animals.Tibial dyschondroplasia and Milk fever.

Our juvenile CF set up. The more hides, talisay leaves and water cabbage, the higher the survival. This is in addition to proper feeding, aeration and quality of water. We have not changed water in months. We just add when the evaporation is high, and from time to time, remove some if the water becomes dark due to waste. But over-all, proper feeding quantity is the key to good water quality.
