The Bobby Payton Claret is a masterfully refined version of the original Madigin Claret, which was developed by Col. John Madigin in the early 1900s.
Bobby Payton focused on preserving the "old-school" traits of the Madigin line, specifically their exceptional speed and timing. Through decades of disciplined breeding in Louisiana, Payton stabilized the family to be more consistent and smarter in the pit than many modern variations.
While most Clarets today have been heavily crossed, the Payton line is celebrated for staying true to that deep red plumage and the legendary "breaking" ability that made the original Clarets world-famous. ππ©Έ
