"The Ultimate Pueblo Fan"

At some point, my friends started calling me with this title, it's funny but I honestly get it. Wala atang araw na hindi ako nagpost about Pueblo or randomly talked about it (kahit nasaan yan — class, mall, pool hahaha).

Ilocos Empanada kase ang trend ngayon, natatakam sila sa mga nakikita nila sa tiktok tapos dagdagan pa ng mga stories ko. People asks me about Pueblo, where they are located, how much is the price andmost importantly, if it is actually good — my answer is always the same: "SOBRANG SARAP NIYA".

Personal fave ko ang Papaya Variant but even the Cabbage Variant nila ay sobrang panalo. Sobrang crispy nung balat tapos talagang mainit pa yung laman kapag ibinigay sayo at siksik din siya — hindi tinipid. Savory siya kaya perfectly paired with the sweet sukang iloko — hindi siya nakakaumay. It's the kind of empanada na babalik balikan mo.

For me, Pueblo isn't just a trend but a taste of comfort and I would know since my father is actually an Ilocano. Hindi siya marunong nung dialect but he can understand words, lumaki siya sa pagkain ilocano and shared that taste with us, his children. Kaya masasabi ko na refined naman ang taste ko when it comes to Ilocano dishes. Kaya you can trust me when I say...
