Meet Ate Leylanee ,a former OFW, a solo parent, and a true fighter. She faced life’s challenges head-on, providing for her son’s medical needs and education all by herself. No shortcuts, just pure love, sacrifice, and resilience.

Today, she continues that journey as a proud member of TIKME
Her p**o galapong carries the warmth of tradition, while her Green Heat chili sauce made from siling panigang reflects her creativity and determination to make something meaningful out of what is locally available.
Every product she makes holds a piece of her story.

And stories like hers are at the heart of TIKME.

Because behind every product we offer there is a farmer who toils under the sun ,a food processor who pours in time and care, and a family whose hopes depend on every sale. So when you support local, you are not just buying food, you are becoming part of someone’s journey.

We are deeply grateful to DA-AMAD CALABARZON for giving us the opportunity to be part of the Filipino Food Month 2026 Trade Fair and Exhibit a space where stories like Ate Leylanee’s are seen, heard, and celebrated

Last April 16,2026 the first reading of Proposed Municipal Ordinance No. 036, s. 2026 was held at the Sangguniang Bayan Office, Lgu Magallanes Cavite - An important step toward institutionalizing the TIKME Festival (Taste Indulge Know Magallanes Entrepreneur) as a yearly celebration in the Municipality of Magallanes Cavite

More than an event it's deeper purpose is to strengthen our local food system and bring life back to our Town's food Heritage . It seeks to revive traditions that are slowly fading and protect our remaining heirloom crops that are at risk of being lost over time..It also reflects our commitment to uplifting farmers, empowering local entrepreneurs and embracing the socio-economic and environmental impacts in championing our local food system.

We sincerely Thank the SB Office of Magallanes, specially the Committee Tourism led by Mun Coun. AJ Mojica together with, Coun. Mar Reduca, Councilor Marinela Diones, Coun. Jayson Santiago and Coun Jonathan Antazo

We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to our Magallanes Tourism Officer Maam Liezeth Nepomuceno for endosrsing this to the Sangguniang Bayan and for believing in the potential of this initiative ❤️🙏

We are honored to welcome Sir Ige Ramos, Chef Claude Tayag and Mexican Anthropologist Miss Paulina Machuca here in Magallanes on April 11,2026 and to receive them at Balai TIKME FOOD Producers Association. We were priveledged to let them experience and taste the local products of Magallanes made by the members of TIKME.

From Balai TIKME, we joined them as we walk through Sitio Maangyo, Urdaneta for an occular visit and pre-mapping activity of trees, fruits and vegetable that are believed to have connections to Mexico, brought shared and transformed through centuries of exchange across the Pacific.

It was a very inspiring experience of walking the land while reconnecting with living histories where food, plants and landscapes tell stories of movement memory and connection between cultures.

Maraming-maramingg salamat po for this enriching visit and for allowing us to be part of this important work of tracing our shared heritage.🙏

Balik po kayo sa Magallanes anytime ❤️🙏

A meaningful and joyful milestone for TIKME FOOD Producers Association !

Yesterday was more than just an activity , it marked the beginning of our shared journey as we officially launched the TIKME Community-Based Tourism Experience through a Black Pepper Harvesting Activity at Imelia’s Beans and Spices Farm in Barangay Baliwag. Rooted in our dream to uplift farmers, preserve Magallanes food heritage, and create sustainable livelihoods.

We were honored by the presence of inspiring advocates in food heritage and sustainable gastronomy: Chef Rhea Castro Cysip, President of the Slow Food Community Cavite, together with her husband Chef Jayjay Cysip of The Fatted Calf and Chef Ren , joined our farmers in the field , listening to stories, learning traditional pepper cultivation, processing and strengthening the connection between farm and table.

We were also grateful for Tita Agnes (Tita A), a respected food heritage advocate from Cavite City, joined by her children Sir Cons and his sister, showing how advocacy can become a family legacy. Miss Arlene,Co-founder of the Chabacano Circle of Dreams,Cultural Creative & Social Media Curator, reminded us of the importance of keeping culture and heritage alive. Completing this circle of empowered women leaders was Miss Isabel Punzalan, owner of Delfa’s and President of the Food Producers Association of Cavite, whose support strengthens the growing movement of women building resilient local food systems.

This experience reminded us that food heritage is not only about recipes .it is about people, stories, land, and shared dreams.

We invite you to be part of our next TIKME Farm and Food Heritage Experience.Come harvest with us. Cook with us. Learn from our farmers and food processors. Taste the stories of Magallanes.

We were honored to welcome Doc Harold Bernardo Bueno, Dean of the Far Eastern University-Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management together with his team during their visit to Balai TIKME.

Dr. Bueno was joined by two chefs, a food technology student, and a master’s student in Culinology, making the visit a meaningful exchange of knowledge between the academe and our local food community.

During the visit, the group was able to identify several locally manufactured products made by TIKME members that could potentially be showcased in the FEU café, opening exciting opportunities for our community-based food processors. The team also provided a short product consultation, sharing helpful insights on how our products can further improve and reach wider markets.

As part of our community-based experience, the group visited a native black pepper farm in Barangay Baliwag, Magallanes, Cavite, owned by Ms. Imelda Villanueva, one of TIKME’s members and the owner of Imelia’s Coffee and Spices. The visit highlighted the potential of our local agricultural products and the importance of supporting farmers and local producers.

The team also made a stop at the Magallanes Public Market, where they explored and purchased locally grown heirloom vegetables, giving them a deeper appreciation of the richness and diversity of our local food system.

We are grateful for this meaningful exchange and hopeful that this visit will lead to future collaborations that promote sustainable tourism, local food heritage, and inclusive opportunities for our MSMEs and farmers.
