Manarola has its highs and lows but when it hits it really hits. The dry aged bistecca and lamb rack are the reasons to go. That depth of flavor from the aging was genuinely absurd.

The rest of the menu is more mixed. Some dishes are simple and well executed, others need refinement. Order smart and you’ll leave happy.

Went into Tandem not knowing what to expect from them. Left thinking about the Greed bread course and the Sloth pasta for the rest of the night.

The concept could have easily been a gimmick. It wasn’t. Every course had a real reason behind it and you feel that from the first bite to the last. The kind of dinner that makes you slow down and actually pay attention.

Chef Alex and Mikee, thank you for having us. This one stayed with us. Looking forward to trying your ala carte menu!

Sichuan chili fried chicken. Been seeing Chef Eric Huang’s Peking House version on my feed and couldn’t shake the craving. Made my own with what I had. Knew it was gonna be good, didn’t expect it to be this good. Not exaggerating, probably the best I’ve ever had.

Inside Capati Farm in Batangas is Paburo Pots, an outlet for Pablo Luna Capati IV to bridge his love for cooking and his dad’s decades-long artistry. His father, ceramic artist Pablo K. Capati III has been exhibiting his pottery globally after studying the art form in Kobe, Japan.

Paburo Pots gives you a glimpse of provincial life in the Philippines with with pottery workshops and a Filipino farm lunch inside their family home. “Automatically when you touch clay, the right side of the brain gets triggered and feelings come out.
