As an animal welfare org., our mission has always been to rescue those who have no one – the abandoned, neglected, and abused animals struggling to survive on the streets. Sadly, with hundreds of rescues already in our care, we cannot take in pets from private owners.

It is disheartening when pet owners ask us to take their animals because they can no longer care for them. Owning a pet is a lifelong commitment. When people give up their pets, it adds to the problem of overpopulation in shelters and streets. Every space occupied by a surrendered pet could have saved a stray with no one else to turn to.

We urge pet owners to take responsibility:

🟣 Spay and neuter your pets to prevent unwanted litters.
🟣 Seek solutions such as rehoming responsibly within your network if you can no longer care for your pet.
🟣 Treat your pet as family, not as something disposable.

Abandoning your pet or surrendering them to an already overwhelmed shelter is not the answer. It is your duty to care for the life you chose to bring into your home.

Let’s work together to end the cycle of overpopulation and neglect. By being responsible pet owners, you are saving lives – the life of your pet and the lives of strays waiting for their chance to be rescued.
