Palapa, A maranao condiment widely used in Mindanao. Made from local scallions known as sakurab. It is sauteed with garlic, onions and native chilies for that extra bite.

Just like bagoong, palapa can be used as a flavor enhancer or as a condiment. It pairs well with any fried or steamed dish.

Due to the limited harvest of sakurab, palapa is not normaly available in grocery stores.

Paksiw na isda. A fish dish cooked in vinegar. In our case we simmered it with our sukang tuba. Every cook has their own version. Some prefer it soupy, spicy or a bit dry.

Looking for a healthier alternative to bagoong?

Presenting our " Cocoong".

Cocoong is made using coconut meat, vinegar, tofu, fish sauce and chilies. It resembles the taste and texture of bagoong alamang.

If you are allergic to shrimp this would be the best alternative for you.

You can pair this with any kind of fruit, vegetable or use it to enhance flavors of certain dishes.

Once opened make sure to consume within 1 month. Un opened will last 10 to 12 months as long as it is stored in a cool and dry place.
