Today is my birthday and I just cant believe yung mga pinagdaanan ko before I started Collectmates.
I used to be a CEO of my own corporation for more than 10 years and when I gave up running it, it was all worth it.
Running your own business is difficult, what more kung yung negosyo na yun is a corporation with a lot of families depended on it to last long?
When I ran my own company, it was tiring and a lot of stress included in it. Madaming sleepness nights na hindi ko alam kung saan ko huhugutin yung pang sweldo sa mga tao because the company is about to get bankrupt.
I had to pretend to my family that I was ok and we are ok financially pero ang totoo we were about to go negative dahil wala ng mapasweldo sa mga tao.
The worst thing happened when I got sick and got diagnosed with brain tumor. The reason? Dahil sa sobrang workaholic that I forgot to take care of myself (not enough sleep, overwork, stress).
When we decided to remove the tumor in my head, it was the deal breaker for me to give up my own company and rebuild all over again.
Bouncing back was not easy but one thing I learned is to alyways prioritize yourself first by taking care of yourself properly. Binago ko ang sleeping habits ko at umiwas sa stress, went back to the corporate world with work life balance and inuna ang sarili ofcourse my family included.
Collecting toy figures is now one of the reasons why I continue to be inspired and keep on grinding but this time with limitations na. Pag alam kong pagod na ko kakawork then I pause, stare at my toys for awhile and relax.
Toy collecting maybe an “expensive hobby” pero if this is a way for you to relax yourself for a while then why will you stop yourself kung kaya naman ng budget?
Mejo mahal nga mag collect ng toy figure totoo yan pero mas mahal ang gagastusin mo pag magkasakit kasi mas pinili mo lang ng magtrabaho all day long ng hindi iniisip ang sarili mo until one day hindi mo na pala kaya.
