Two days ago, we shared that MaiCo β The Famous Chicken Pops will be pausing operations for the meantime.
Today, weβre sharing this short recap β not just of a brand, but of four years of dreams, sacrifices, and growth.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Thank you for the love, the support, the late-night cravings, the reposts, the messages, and the belief you gave us β especially during the days when we were still trying to believe in ourselves.
The real story behind MaiCo:
MaiCo was born during the pandemic.
Our first home was along Marcos Highway, and later, we found our way to Marikina.
Thatβs why MaiCo holds two anniversaries close to our hearts:
π February 18, 2021 β MaiCo in Marcos Highway
π July 7, 2021 β MaiCo in Marikina, the beginning of MaiCo 2.0
Same year. Same dream. A stronger version.
MaiCo is more than just a name.
It was derived from its two founders β Maine and Copper.
Two people with different stories, but one shared purpose.
Copper started as a side hustler. A breadwinner who worked his way through life, put himself through college, and never stopped pushing forward despite the weight of responsibility.
Maine, the eldest in her family, was introduced to the world of negosyo at a very young age β grade 4 pa lang, mulat na sa hirap at sipag na kailangan para lumaban sa buhay.
MaiCo was born from late nights, small capital, big risks, and even bigger faith.
It was built from hope during uncertain times.
And while we pause today, this is not the end.
This is simply a chapter β one we will always be proud of.
Thank you for being part of our story.
Thank you for growing with us.
Thank you for loving MaiCo.
MaiCo was born because of the two founders β
but it lived because of all of you. π€
