The boxed part of this screencap should explain how holy days of obligation work for Christian Catholics. Up to this day, especially in the Philippines, some priests (either an elder priest or newly-ordained ones who were assigned usually as guest celebrants) and the elderly still held on to the folklore of "calendar day mindset" post-Vatican II, especially during Christmas.

Canon Law No. 1248 explicitly clarifies that those attending Mass on the evening before the solemnity day itself counts as their fulfilment of the said holy day of obligation.

So, whether you attend the Vigil Mass, Midnight Mass (Mass During the Night), Dawn Mass or Mass During the Day, these Masses for Christmas are all equal in standing; therefore, attending one of them completes your duty for the day.

This is why it's best that each year during the Advent season, the CBCP, and all bishops and archbishops in the Philippines, re-iterate and remind the clergy and the faithful on how holy days of obligation apply during Christmas. It's a way to dispel misunderstanding and ensure that everyone are at the same page in celebrating this important day in the liturgical cycle.

Broadcast journalist Atom Araullo reveals he is in a long-term relationship during his interview at Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Friday.

Araullo also confirmed that his girlfriend is a public figure and clarified that they kept their relationship private rather than secret.

“I think people know. People on social media know. They see us outside,” he said.

Netizens had previously speculated that Araullo’s partner was fellow broadcast journalist Zen Hernandez.

Finally, after almost a year since my 2-part debut article came, I had time to create this article that I always thought have ever since I staerted following MAMA Awards ceremonies back in my college days.

Honestly, this award giving show has always been a popularity contest for fans, from the nomination process to the selection of winners. And as I see myself as a Once than a Blink, they almost snubbed TWICE from the competition, despite releasing a full-length album for their 10th anniversary. Pakapalin na lang sana mukha ng mga taga Mnet at ibigay na lang Best Female Group sa Blackpink, para tapos na usapan.

Enjoy the "competitive" mood one last time (before the Elephant in the Room bulldozers the charts once again).

ICYMI: Yes, juggling between my personal and public pages give me a headache. Plus, as what I said before, my mind tend to just shut down in the middle of making meaningful thoughts on social media different from whenever I comment or chat with other people.

But what did not shut was turning myself to the ballot box last Monday. There's this saying "If you don't register and/or show up to vote, you have no right to hold elected officials into account." And that's the sad reality to accept for pessimists like Timow's Turf (a good governance supporter for years), who thought that another Robin Padilla victory wave of no-platform celebs and questionable personalities would be sealed even before campaign period began.

We understand their different view of the world, to the point of virtually renouncing their identity as Filipinos (whether or not they actually move out of the Philippines and wait a few years before swearing allegiance to another sovereign country) after the 2022 setback for the opposition. But if you were to ask me if ever I would do the same as the likes of Timow, I'd say "NO." An election loss for national good governance is not the end of the world; there is a long way to go for that goal to regain and restore.

This year's results are a testament of younger generations of voters getting fed up of trapos backstabbing and threatening each other for their own survival in this false "unity" they built on samd. Over the next three years, there's still a long way to go, but the light of good governance keep on shining and inspiring younger Filipinos to do more outside of their comfort zone.

This is just the beginning.
